Gateway Chevrolet Inc.
Gateway Chevrolet Inc. dealership owners are Bill Meehan and Larry Bonorato, and they bring with them decades of experience in General Motors dealerships in Georgia and South Carolina. Meehan, a CPA who owned a practice for 20 years, has automobile experience with Hendrick Automotive Group in Charolotte, N.C., and served as chief financial officer for seven franchises in the Atlanta area for the Ed Voyles Automotive Group. His experience extends into management, field operations and sales. He holds degrees from the University of Georgia and the University of Maryland and is a past Rotarian and Paul Harris Fellow. He and his wife own a home in Charleston, S.C.
"I can't think of a nicer place to be", and Bonorato began his career in sales at an Oldsmobile dealership in Savannah, G.A., which is were he met Meehan. After 13 years, he departed as sales manager for a position as general manager of a Saturn dealer in Savannah. For the last decade, he has managed six stores in Greer, S.C. for Bradshaw Automotive Companies Inc. He and his wife Judy plan on relocating to the area. Bonorato is also a Paul Harris Fellow and past Rotarian.
"We are looking to make long-term relationships,"Bonorato said.
"Even if they don't buy from us, we want our customers to come to us for advice. We want to raise the bar. Some of the finest people I've ever met own car dealerships."
