John Roberts Nissan and Toyota
Charles Edward Roberts purchased Manchester Motors in July 1977. Changing the name to Roberts Datsun, the dealership was located in a small building beside of Evelyn's Office Supply. In January 1980, not even three years later, the dealership moved to 2610 Hillsboro Highway, to a building of 14,000 square feet (beside where Wal Mart is now located).
With the name changing to Roberts Nissan in 1985, the dealership was turned over to the capable hands of son, John Roberts. John graduated from Lipscomb University in 1983 and is continuing his reign as President of John Roberts Nissan, enjoying the expansive 27,000 square foot building located just across from the former location.
The team at Roberts Nissan is very excited about the move of the Nissan headquarters. This compliments the Nissan plants already located in Smyrna and Decherd, TN. While Mr. Charles Roberts may have passed away on June 11, 2004, his vision lives on in the leadership of his son and heritage of the Nissan dealership.
