The History of Myers Communication
In 1990 Myers Computers started selling Cellular One cellular phone service which brought about a name change for the business to Myers Computer and Communication. Currently today we use Myers Communication just to keep it simple since our name was getting a little wordy.
At some point and time all of his 3 children have worked and help build his business. They truly had a family business. Even though his children have all moved out of town and are working different jobs he still feels like all his employees are his family.
Bill Myers opened Myers Communications in Manchester in April 2002 located in the small building to the left of the
"Golden Dragon"Chinese Restaurant on Hillsboro Blvd. We were one of the first to offer Verizon Wireless cell phones for FREE with a contract, and our business did great. We outgrew the small building and in 2003 we moved to the other side of the Golden Dragon in the building with Allstate. We stayed there until the building in front of the Masonic Lodge 214, across the street from the Golden Dragon Restaurant became available. In December this year we built out the store front located at 1313 Hillsboro Blvd. and we are now open in the much larger store.
Myers Communications carries a complete line of Verizon Wireless cell phones, as always we have a FREE phone with a 2 year agreement, but we are featuring the new Motorola Razor V3 phone, the LG9800 cell phone with a built-in keyboard and the new
"Migo"kids phone that has only 4 numbers your child can call that you can program. You can trade with us at Myers no matter where you got your cell phone and get that GREAT customer service we are known for. Come in and see our new store and talk to Shannon Wiseman, Kim Bush, Bill or any of the customer service specialists.
Bill loves his business and has much compassion for our community. Our local people are what makes our business and we truly cherish each and every customer we have. I think it means a lot for you to be able to talk to the owner if you have a problem and not be directed to an 800 number or take a trip out of town.
Currently he has 3 stores; McMinnville, Manchester and Woodbury. They do cellular sales at all three locations and do computer sales, service and networking at the McMinnville location.
A personal note from Bill Myers: Myers Communications is Manchester's local Verizon Wireless Authorized Agent. I believe in Coffee County and encourage everyone to shop in Coffee County first, where our tax dollars help pay for our schools and other services.
